Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy

What Is Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)?

The process begins with a medical evaluation to ensure ketamine is right for you. Once approved, your medication is sent to you. In our first session, we’ll set intentions for your journey. Over 6-8 guided sessions, you’ll experience ketamine in a safe, supportive space, using tools to turn inward.

Ketamine allows you to process emotions with greater ease, gaining new insights in a calm, non-reactive state. A few days after each journey, we’ll meet for an integration session, helping you make sense of your experience.

This unique combination of ketamine and therapy helps release trauma, rewire thought patterns, and build emotional resilience. Many clients experience greater self-compassion, improved emotional regulation, and deeper connections in their relationships

How Does Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy Work?

The process starts with a medical evaluation to ensure ketamine is the right approach for you. After the screening, they will mail your ketamine in lozenge form. In our first telehealth session, we'll discuss your intentions and goals for ketamine therapy. Then, over the course of 6-8 sessions, you'll undergo "journeys" where you receive a controlled dose of ketamine in a comfortable, supportive environment.

During these sessions, you may experience heightened insight or emotional shifts as you focus your attention inward. Ketamine allows you to process trauma in a calm, non-reactive state. Your journey enables you to find new insights and perspectives and integration helps make meaning of it.

Two to three days after each journey, we'll meet for an integration session when your neural pathways are the most open and available for change. This is where we make sense of your experiences, helping you gain profound self-awareness and apply these breakthrough .

Through the combination of ketamine’s effects and therapy, you can access deep-seated emotions, release trauma, and “reprogram” the brain to form healthier thought patterns. Clients also learn new coping strategies, improve emotional regulation, reduce negative patterns, and develop greater self-compassion. Additionally, ketamine therapy can enhance interpersonal connections by fostering a deeper understanding of oneself and others, leading to healthier relationships.

Who Can Benefit From Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy?

We use ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) to treat individuals struggling with treatment-resistant depression, PTSD, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, and trauma. KAP can provide faster relief by shifting brain chemistry and increasing emotional openness.

Ketamine therapy can help clients who have not found relief through traditional therapies by offering rapid, transformative results. Ketamine’s ability to promote neuroplasticity—the ability of neural networks in the brain to change through growth and reorganization—allows clients to break free from rigid thought patterns and emotional blocks that other therapies may not reach. Transforming neural pathways creates a unique opportunity for deep healing, helping clients access parts of their psyche they may have been unable to reach, and fostering lasting change where other therapies may have stalled.

Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) offers real hope for long-term transformation. In the short term, many clients experience relief from deep emotional distress and begin to see new possibilities for healing. Over time, KAP can help rewire your brain, break through old patterns, and gain insights that lead to sustained growth and emotional well-being. It’s a powerful, transformative approach that can help you feel more connected, balanced, and capable of navigating life’s challenges.

Studies demonstrate that ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) can rapidly reduce symptoms by promoting neuroplasticity and helping clients access deeper emotional insights. [1] Unlike traditional therapies, which may take weeks or months for noticeable results, KAP can provide rapid relief, often within one or two sessions.

Our Background In Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy

We are excited to offer ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) into our practice after witnessing its powerful ability to help our clients—especially those who felt stuck in persistent thought patterns—break free from their emotional blocks. Making this profound shift in thinking was transformative for clients who struggled with emotional dysregulation and other common mental health disorders. KAP offers hope and real change for people who have struggled to find lasting relief through traditional therapies.

Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, eating disorders, or simply seeking a new path for self-exploration, ketamine therapy can accelerate healing by helping you access neuroplasticity. When a ketamine journey is combined with intentional integration psychotherapy, you can experience a profound shift in mindset that changes how you think, feel, and behave. We aim to empower you to create meaningful, long-term change in your life.
